Each scheme can contain a different set of products that have beenselected from the master product list and its own price banding. Head office can configure the system to allow the sites a certain degree of flexibilityso that the site managers can make local business decisions. Information that can be maintained at a site level includes: products and prices (specific range), clerks, cost prices, delivery prices and keyboard layout.
Head Office – Site Data Transfer
Each remote site has a copy of EPOS Office client installed on a back office PC. The EPOS Office client provides site management with a fully featured stock control and management information system. At the end of each day the EPOS Office client collects the sales data from the Uniwell POS system, sends it to an FTP server and collects any head office updates from the FTP server. Head office collects the site data from the FTP server and deposits any site updates on the FTP server ready for the sites to collect. Site managers can be informed of new price changes and promotions using the integral e-mail facility.
